On August 13, 2010, President Obama signed Public Law 111-230, which contains provisions to increase certain H-1B and L-1 petition fees. Effectively, any H-1B application filed on or after August13, 2010, the employer must prove that the orgnaization does not hire at least 1/2 or more of its employees under H-1B or L visas, including L-2Visa holders. If it does, the application fees for such organization shall increase by $2,000.
